The West Akron Board of Trade is an organization of area businesses that work together to share ideas, strategies, and services for the benefit of its membership and the business community in general.
As a community leader and one of the most progressive trade associations
in the area, our goal is to create a resource for our members to find
solutions to the challenging issues that surround businesses in Northeast
Ohio.
The West Akron Board of Trade was formed in the early 1930’s. The original
purpose was to give business owners a collective voice regarding their
business concerns in the West Akron area. Although this is still an objective,
we have grown to include surrounding areas. We have developed into
an organization that provides dynamic networking events that include informative
topics that are presented by influential business leaders to help in both
professional and personal growth.
As we have grown, our membership benefits have expanded to include such
benefit programs as:
| |
Workers' Compensation |
|
Health Insurance |
| |
Retirement Benefits |
|
Auto & Home Insurance |
| |
Digital Phone Service |
|
Payroll Services |
| |
Digital Music System |
|
Commercial Banking |
Community involvement is an important aspect of the West Akron Board of Trade. Through our members, we support many causes that benefit those
around us. Which include:
We have also supported Toys for Tots, the American Heart Association,
the Red Cross, the Akron Canton Food Bank, Haven of Rest and the annual
planting of the landscape around the giant Indian sculpture
“Rotaynah,” in front of the Judith A. Resnick Community Learning Center.
The members of the West Akron Board of Trade not only receive the benefits of belonging to the organization, but also enjoy the opportunity to better serve their expanding community through the organization’s commitment to the community.
